VOYANT WELCOMES UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL’S FOUNDING ROLE IN NEW DEFENCE UNIVERSITIES ALLIANCE

Voyant, a University of Liverpool spinout, has welcomed the announcement that the university has become a founding member of the UK’s new Defence Universities Alliance (DUA). This landmark initiative will strengthen collaboration between academia and government to accelerate research, develop critical skills and support the UK’s future defence and security capabilities.  

Voyant was founded on more than two decades of pioneering research in advanced sensing, target tracking and probabilistic data fusion at the University of Liverpool. Today, that research underpins the company’s mission-critical software, which enhances sensing, enables earlier threat detection, supports GNSS-denied navigation and delivers trusted autonomy across defence applications. This close relationship continues today, with Voyant benefiting from the University’s world-leading research expertise and its Chief Scientific Officer continuing to play a leading role within the University’s research community, helping ensure the latest advances shape future capability.
